Italian History Game
While you’re enjoying your espresso on the cafe trail, make sure you pick up a flyer and this week’s question in the History Game.
- Over the next 3 weeks, you’ll find questions in participating Italian Cafe Culture Trail cafes (look for a poster in the window) and on our website.
- Check out the topic and submit your answers each week (entries open each Wednesday) to win an Italian cookbook, plus ‘Dogs in Venice’ by Peter Derrett. The weekly prizes are drawn on Sunday 9 and 6 June, and also on Saturday 22 June.
- Visit our Facebook page and Instagram page for clues to the answers every Thursday. Please don’t post your answers on social media – we don’t want you to spoil it for anyone else!
- Share history game clue posts on social media and make sure you hashtag us – use #LFFhistorygam, #lismorefriendshipfestival, or #visitLismore.
- The competition ends on Saturday 22 June. All correct entries submitted via the website go into the final draw at Piazza in the Park on Sunday 23 June to win a spot at our inaugural masterclass with chef Giancarlo Molinaro at the Peppertree Kitchen on Monday 24 June (scroll down for details about this fabulous class).

The game of croquet is truly a sport for people of all ages, so while you are enjoying the Piazza festivities you are most welcome to come and try your hand at croquet. Summerland Credit Union’s Tug-O-War
23 June 2019
This informal, much loved part of the festival is on again in 2019 at the Piazza in the Park, at 1pm.
Summerland Credit Union has come on board as our sponsor and when we asked Bruce Parry, their Sales Engagement Manager why, he wrote – “Developing a rich cultural community with people connecting with others is why Summerland is sponsoring the Tug-O-War….. even if the connection is at either end of a piece of rope!”
Bruce will be at the event on the end of the microphone ensuring all goes well on both sides of the rope!
This is an opportunity to pull a team together or just put your hand up on the day. There is nothing like complete strangers coming together to have a go at pulling a rope (and their competitors) across a line!
If interested please contact Aliison, our Festival Manager.
