Celebrate the enduring sister city friendships between Lismore and Conegliano and Vittorio in Veneto, northern Italy, at the Lismore Friendship Festival’s LisAmore!
LisAmore! is an annual festival that highlights the cultural richness of the Italian community in our region. From Italian food, music, and dance to Italian cars and bikes, language workshops, and Commedia Del ‘Arte flash mobs, there’s something for everyone. Kids can enjoy outdoor games, colouring, and language lessons in Italian and Bundjalung.
Established in 2016 by dedicated volunteers, LisAmore! aims to strengthen Lismore’s sister city ties while extending the festivities prior to the iconic Lismore Lantern Parade. Originally held in Spinks Park as Piazza in the Park, the event quickly outgrew its location and name.
Despite facing setbacks like droughts, fires, and floods, the 2023 event drew a large crowd, reminding everyone of the magic of our Italian fiesta. Now, with accommodation options gradually reopening, it’s the perfect time to gather your loved ones, and join us for a memorable celebration.
In collaboration with the Lismore Lantern Parade, we’re planning activities throughout the week to encourage travellers, including Grey Nomads, RV, and caravan enthusiasts, to explore all that Lismore has to offer.
