“Amazing. I’m so glad that the people of Lismore and surrounding areas and people from Brisbane and Sydney actually took up the invitation to experience a beautiful Italian day.”
Those were the words of a happy LisAmore! President Gianpiero Battista mid-afternoon at the Lismore Turf Club.
The crowd built over the day to a peak around 2pm as did the temperature, a perfect 23 degrees with not a breath of wind.
Gianpiero said the LisAmore! committee hoped to get about 4,000 people to the Sunday event so was ecstatic with a crowd estimate of between 5,000 and 5,500 people that came and went throughout the day.
